 RICE KHEER


Ingredients:

  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Milk - 3 cups
  • Ghee - 1 tsp
  • Condensed milk - 1/2 cup (or) Jaggery - 3/4 cup
  • Sugar - 3 tbsp
  • Cardamoms powder  - 1 tsp (or) Vanilla essence - 2 or 3 drops
  • A pinch of salt

For Garnish:

  • Fried Cashewnuts - 1 tbsp (or) Almonds - 1 tbsp

 

Method:

Heat 1 tsp of ghee in pressure cooker and fry rice in medium flame till it becomes just warm.  Add milk and cook for 20 minutes until it becomes soft and transfer it into pan.

Add condensed milk, sugar, cardamoms powder, salt and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in between.

Garnish with fried cashewnuts or almonds

Serve hot or cold.
