 CURRY LEAVES RICE

Ingredients:

  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Oil or Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic -  6
  • Small onions - 1/4 cup
  • Tomatoes - 2
  • Cloves - 2
  • Cinnamon - 1 inch piece
  • Cashewnuts - few
  • Salt to taste

Grind Together:

  • Ginger - 1/4 inch piece
  • Garlic - 3 flakes
  • Fresh curry leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander leaves - few
  • Green chillies - 3 to 4
  • Tamarind - small lime size
  • Asafoetida - 3 pinch
  • Cummin seeds - 1/4 tsp


Method:


Cook rice and allow it to cool. Separate grains properly and mix with a 2 tsp of ghee.

Heat oil or ghee, fry cinnamon and cloves, add garlic,onions and then tomatoes. Fry till tomatoes re cooked properly.


Add ground masala and fry in a high flame till good smell comes.Now add rice, salt and mix gently.


Serve garnished with fried cashewnuts.
