 BESAN LADOO


Ingredients:

  • Besan gram flour - 1 cup
  • Suji - 1/4 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup (or) Jaggery - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 5 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp 
  • A pinch of salt

For Garnish:

  • Fried Cashewnuts - 8 to 10  (sliced)
  • Fried Almonds - 5 to 6  (sliced)
  • Pista - 1 tbsp (sliced) 

Method:

Heat a pan add 2 tbsp of ghee. hen its melts and fry sliced cashewnuts, almonds and fry them until lightly brown color. Remove and transfer to a small bowl keep aside.

Add besan flour to the same pan Keep stirring every 1 minute. After 5 minutes it begins to turn slightly aromatic and changes to a slightly deeper color. Add rest of the ghee. Mix well and keep stirring in between.

When it is cool, add castor sugar , salt and cardamom powder mix well. Now roll in the shape of ladoo with your hands.

Garnish with fried Cashewnuts, fried Almonds and store in air-tight containers.
